We are back and heading out again on Wednesday. This time we are going to Minnesota with Cullen's parents for a couple Yankee games. Every year we try to hit a couple Yankee games and I think last year was the first year in a long time that we skipped it--reason #426 on why infertility sucks! However, we look forward to getting out of town and spending some time with them.
For those keeping track of the family vacations--we made it through another one. Yes, there were bumps along the way but that is to be expected. Next up--Vegas next March to celebrate the youngest brother and oldest nephew turning 21. YIKES!!! Anyway--back to Storm Lake. Nick and Anna mastered the high diving board and I really enjoyed spending time with everyone despite the hiccups. It dawned on me this weekend that the nieces and nephews are getting older and that the youngest niece is 7 with no babies trailing behind. There will definitely be a gap in ages between nieces and nephews. My only hope is that our future child has other cousins to grow up with and has the opportunity to partake in the family traditions with their aunts and uncles and older cousins. As painful as it is to gather all the troops it is what makes life wonderful. To see the ages and generations of Wadleigh's together to laugh, joke, tease and yes--sometimes cry.
So tonight we pack again to leave for 3 days and have another full weekend ahead. Cullen and I are playing in the second annual Sacred Heart Croquet Tournament on Saturday, a fundraiser for our church. I better go figure out how to play---I don't think playing in Grandma Visca's front yard counts for "knowing the rules".
