It has been an interesting week. Where should I start?

Monday as you know was Cullen's 35th Birthday. Festivus started on Monday. For those who don't know this "tradition" I will give a short explanation. About 5 or so years ago I started celebrating his birthday with a week (7 days) of Festivus (term taken from Sein.feld). Each day has a theme and a gift. Not expensive but just a little something.

Tuesday and Wednesday--nothing major. Cruising through the week.

Thursday was crazy. We have two cats (they are like our children). Maggie and Rosco. Rosco is the chubby, hairy cat and Maggie is the little runt who is feisty and at times a bully. Well, she had a leaky eye...so off to the vet we go. Getting a cat in a carrier is disastrous at our house. My arms were scratched but I survived. Not only does the Vet say she has conjunctivitis (poor thing) but he says she is like a munchkin cat (oh, she is so cute) and she has to have her front tooth pulled. Yep--you read that right--her front fang has to be pulled. Now Maggie already has some endearing characteristics...sometimes cross eyed and has short little legs. She doesn't purr she squeaks and now she will be missing her front tooth...oh dear. We are waiting on the tooth pulling because it will cost $300!

In the afternoon Cullen auditioned for a role in a movie that will be shot in the area and will have a few fairly big Holly.wood names attached to it. He auditioned for the part of the office guy/sidekick. He has one line. He nailed it.....AND GOT THE PART!!! He is even getting paid for two days of work. Once we have all the info and know we can release the names of the actors and actresses I will let you all know. I am so proud of him! The director told the talent agent as he left that he was the one for the part and they really liked his beard (which he really loves too).

This weekend we are off to Chicago to see Pearl.Jam on Sunday and Monday. We love them and I love Eddie.Vedder--So dreamy! Hopefully I will have some decent photos to share of our trip next week.
